Amsterdam Modern is mid-century modern and cool (50's thru late 70's) furniture, lighting and other household goodies. Our inventory is shipped directly from Amsterdam. It comes from all corners of Holland. We buy entire retail stores that have gone out of business and have some special shoppers that collect for us when we aren’t there ourselves.
We receive it dirty and dusty....a true discovery when we dig in to uncover the past. Most items are sold in original condition targeting dealers and retail stores, therefore keeping the prices at a reasonable level.
Amsterdam Modern is in a 5000sf warehouse in Van Nuys and has been called a “hidden secret”. The property is shared with Nationwide Classics, owned by a Dutchman who buys, sells and exports classic/vintage cars mostly back to Amsterdam and other European cities;...old Mercedes, Jags, Rolls, Caddy's, Chevy's-you name it.
