Mid-Century Italian "Mod" tubular plexi table lamp manufactured by Guzzini. This is a stunning example of the Italian company's stylish and highly innovative approach to lighting design, complete with attractive and functional perforated metal accents. Raimondo Guzzini established iGuzzini Illuminazione in June 1958, initially under the name Harvey. Then, in 1962, Luigi Massoni was recruited to lead the design team. The well-known and highly influential designer worked for Guzzini until 1976, designing many of the company's iconic lamps during that period, establishing the company as a leading voice in Italian design. This piece is in original condition, with some wear and scratching typical of its age and use. The top sits loosely on the tube and is not attached. Socket may have been replaced and is likely not original.
