Rare, orange enameled “Serpente” floor lamp by Italian lighting pioneer Elio Martinelli for Martinelli Luce. Designed in 1965 using then-innovative methacrylate molding techniques, the Serpente’s bold, curving silhouette and swiveling shade captured the optimism and experimentation of Italian modernism. This early example features its original vibrant enamel and sculptural steel arm. In original condition with visible wear including light scratches and small dents. Takes a standard medium bulb, 60W max.
