This 1950s Dutch Mid-Century, customized “Magneto” based floor lamp by J.Niegeman for Artiforte, Netherlands was a made-to-order floor light that could be constructed from elements used in other Artiforte lights. As such this particular piece utilizes the Magneto pivoting system that allows the arm to move freely. The original Magneto light (see photos), as made by Rotterdam based Artiforte, had a tripod base, this unique light uses a disc base and a different shade. It is in original condition with some age appropriate wear.
