1920's Amsterdam School Oak Cabinet
Jac van den Bosch Style / Netherlands
Gorgeous, minimalist oak cabinet from the Amsterdam School of the 1920s. Comparable to Art Deco in other parts of Europe, renowned designers such as Paul Bromberg, K.P.C. de Bazel, Anton Kurvers, and J.J. Zijffers created a world of furnishing and goods in Amsterdam to pair with it's world class architecture. The intention was that furniture, bathroom tiles, cabinet doors, and door knobs all contributed to this burgeoning movement. This piece, a great example of the style, stands out thanks to its clean lines and lovely simplicity. Constructed with genuine craftsmanship in an almost rustic manner and outfitted with 3 upper drawers and lower double cabinet with shelf. In original condition with wear with visible scratching. Wear is consistent with its age and use.
