Rare all metal shelving unit from the "606" series, made by Vitsoe and designed by the renowned German designer Dieter Rams in 1960. The "less, but better" mentality of German industrial designer Rams, who created a number of iconic products for Vitsoe and Braun, is evident in this piece: It's simple and even sparse but in its minimalism lies its beauty. No detail is unnecessary and no frills were left where they could be eliminated. It makes for a stunning example of the highly influential designer's vision. As pictured, 108.5" x 71.5". Bays are 36.26" wide. Comes with various sized rails to reconfigure as needed or as pictured. 7 metal shelves (5 at 10" deep and 2 at 15" deep). 2 sliding door cabinets and 1 lift-up cabinet. Some discoloration and wear appropriate with age and use.
