Dutch Modernist acrylic on canvas abstract painting by Piet Franz, 1985. Called "Lumiere Penetrante", this linear graphic painting is in original condition with visible wear including some scratches to the canvas, a little puckering in the lower left corner, and a metal frame with wear that is consistent with its age and use. The artist that created the piece, Piet Franz (pronounced Pete Fronds), was a multi-talented artist who painted, drew, collaged, sculpted wood and stone, and created and designed stage sets. His work is distinguished by a restrained and introverted style, a subtle play of line and refined color.
