Beautiful set of 4 Cor Alons dining chairs for den Boer, Gouda, Cornelius Louis (Cor) Alons, interior designer, industrial designer and painter, was born in Groningen, The Netherlands. Together with Frits Spanjaard, he belonged to the first generation of Dutch interior architects that not only designed furniture, but also looked at the space in which the furniture was placed. These chairs with their revolutionary bent wood frames and original chocolate skai seating are a great example of the work of his multi-talented pioneer. The frames have been lightly refinished with the seating in original condition with visible wear consistent with their age and use.
