Mid-Century, 1960's Cleopatra narrow daybed by A.R. Cordemeyer with teak ends and enameled dark gray metal frame. Comes red mattress and bolster. Manufactured by Royal Auping the Cleopatra divan bed was developed by Cordemeijer in 1953 to fit in with the newly updated, more streamlined bedroom style of the 1950s.Its sleek lines and minimalist approach made it fit right in with the burgeoning Modernist movement in Post War Dutch Design.
