Hans Gugelot Designed Radio for Braun,1955

Hans Gugelot / Braun / Germany

Radio "Super" G11 by Dutch/German designer Hans Gugelot for Braun circa 1955. The Dutch architect Hans Gugelot was a leading industrial designer and pioneer of system design in the post-war era. Hans Gugelot followed the instructions of the company owners Artur and Erwin Braun to design products that would express the modern attitude to live. These were the devices to play the then in vogue Cool Jazz and to modernize living in apartments. With these designs Hans Gugelot shaped the beginnings of Braun design. Braun is of course well known for their iconic, Dieter Rams designed, audio equipment. This piece is not tested, with some visible wear consistent with its age and use.
