Italian mid-century model "Orio" side table. Designed by Pierluigi Cerri for Fontana Arte in 1985, the table has a cast iron base, an enameled metal stem, blue-colored glass top, and a red-colored resin handle. Italian architect and industrial and graphic designer Pierluigi Cerri won numerous accolades in multiple fields throughout his storied career and designed many products for Fontana Arte, such as the lamps Mozia, Nuova Sergno, Orio, Sara, and this piece, the Orio table. This gorgeous example of Cerri's understated elegance is in good original condition, with only minor age-appropriate wear, light scratching, and enamel loss.
