Pair of Oak Amsterdam School Art Deco Armchairs
H. P. Berlage Style / Netherlands
Dutch, "Amsterdam School" pair of gorgeously designed and comfortable armchairs. A uniquely Dutch offshoot of the Art-Deco and Art Nouveau movement, "The Amsterdam School" is characterized by an imaginative and expressive approach to design that fits seamlessly with the architecture of the Dutch capital in the period between 1910 - 1930. These chairs have newly upholstered seats in espresso mohair and lightly refinished oak frames. In otherwise original condition with wear consistent with their age and use. Sold as a pair.
