Poul Hundevad Two Tiered Teak Cabinet with Bookcase and Desk
Poul Hundevad / Hundevad & Co. / Denmark
Beautiful 1960s stacked bookcases with fold-out desk, six book shelves, organizing shelves, lower storage cabinets and drawers, including a felt-lined top drawer. Poul Hundevad designed the cabinet and operated his own workshop and factory in Vamdrup, Denmark. He is best known for his folding stool, Guldhjstolen, which was inspired by Bronze Age archeological findings. Shot with a Niels Moller teak chair (S401-75). The light may not have been original to the piece; the previous owner cut a small hole in the back of the cabinet to accommodate the cord and screwed the light directly onto the shelf ut otherwise both the desk and the cabinet are in good original condition, with some wear from age and use.
