Set of 6 Art Deco - "Amsterdam School" Dining Chairs
H. P. Berlage style / Netherlands
Set of 6 Gorgeous "Amsterdam School" dining chairs. A Dutch offshoot of the Art-Deco and Art Nouveau movement, "The Amsterdam School" is characterized by an imaginative and expressive approach to design that fits seamlessly with the architecture of the Dutch capital in the period between 1910-1930. This was due to the architects involving themselves in all facets of the homes, both exterior and interior. These Oak dining chairs are lightly refinished and upholstered in new cafe velvet with African Rosewood or Cocobolo detail. They are a gorgeous example of the style's esthetics. In original condition with visible wear consistent with age and use. Sold as a set of 6.
