Rare, orange enameled "Serpente" model 2131 floor lamp by Italian visionary Elio Martinelli for the acclaimed Martinelli Luce brand. Using cutting-edge methacrylate molding processes that were novel at the time, Elio Martinelli created this work in 1965. Its dynamic esthetics soon proved to be a major contributor the global triumph of Italian design. Light has a standard size medium socket that takes 60W Max. It is in original condition with some visible wear, including light scratching and dents. Wear is consistent with its age and use.
