Mini Willy Van Der Meeren Industrial desks for Tubax. Printed Formica tops with solid black enameled metal frame and wood edges. Tubax was founded in 1948 by Jan Vits of the Werkhuizen Vits firm. Tubax NV would grow to be one of Belgium's major metal furniture producers. The company peaked in 1963, with around 200 employees. During this time, Tubax created the popular Willy van der Meeren designs, among other things. These industrial style desks, from that era, are in original condition with some visible wear and enamel loss consistent with their age and regular use. Some desks have rounded ply edges while others have square joint edges. There is a 24.75" seat clearance on the underside of the shelf that is 4.25" high. Priced individually.
