Handsome, Robert Parry designed, Mid-Century sofa for Gelderland. A formidable talent in many fields, Parry studied at the Royal Academy of Visual Arts in The Hague from 1925 to 2023. He established his own agency in 1950 where his prolific output encompassed jewelry, calligraphy, toys, stands, exhibitions, interiors, and furniture. He remained active up until 1995. During the 1950s and 1960s, Rob Parry created a great deal of furniture, including pieces for Meubelindustrie Gelderland, and experimented with novel materials and methods in his designs. Rob Parry's designs can be found in the collections of the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam and the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. This 3-seat rosewood toned wood and chrome sofa has a lightly refinished frame with new grey velvet cushions. Back cushions snap to frame. In good original condition.
