1960's Kurt Tschörner for RUSCHA Keramik Attributed Ceramic Jug

Kurt Tschörner (attr) / Ruscha Keramik / West-Germany

The Mid-Century pottery that the prolific German ceramicist Kurt Tschörner (1912–1987) made for Ruscha Keramik is widely considered to be among the best designs to emerge from the illustrious post-war German ceramics industry. This piece, from the 1960s, vividly illustrates why he is considered one of Ruscha's best. The organic shape and nicely contrasting color palette make this a unique and highly desirable piece. In original condition with minor age-appropriate wear.
