German/Japanese, mid 1970s "Teleton TFS-60" stereo receiver. Teleton, originally a German company, collaborated with Japanese Mitsubishi in a combined effort to bring advanced electronics to the European market. This beautifully realized example of that partnership married precision engineering with an eye-catching minimalistic, futuristic design. The TFS-60 was designed to be used as a full stereo control center and had phono, auxiliary, and tape inputs in addition to FM, MW, and LW radio reception. This made it possible to use the unit (apart from using it as a radio receiver) for powering a vinyl setup or connect to other audio sources. It features 25 watts per channel, bass and treble adjustment, loudness compensation, AFC tuning, and multiple speaker outputs and offers impressive output for its size.
