Mid-Century Willy Guhl Planter

Willy Guhl / Eternit / Switzerland

1950s "Vasque" cement planter designed by Willy Guhl for Eternit. Planter has a large wide bowl with pedestal base. Guhl (1915-2004), a Swiss modernist design pioneer, created iconic furniture such as the Eternit garden chair and Europe's first plastic shell chair and created seating, planters, and mowing machines for companies including Dietiker, Eternit, and Aebi. In original condition with visible wear including chipping, possible cracking and dirt/moss residue. Some have holes drilled in the bottom for drainage. Wear is consistent with its age and use. Material content may contain asbestos fibers. Outdoor use recommended. All three of this size are in similar states of wear. Other versions available and listed separately.
