Beautifully upholstered in natural, time and age patinated buck leather, this six-piece sofa by the Rolf Benz company is a comfortable and inviting example of late mid-century design in Germany. Founded in 1964, the Rolf Benz company was arguably the country's most progressive, design-focused furniture brand of the 1980s and 1990s and this is an excellent example of the company's then-very creative notion of a seating "landscape" (as an alternative to the then more traditionally oriented sofas). It is in original condition with some wear that is appropriate for its age and use.
