Mid-Century Cleopatra daybed by A.R. Cordemeyer with solid teak ends, an almost black enameled metal frame and a new oatmeal mattress and bolster. Manufactured by Royal Auping, the Cleopatra divan bed was developed by Cordemeyer in 1953 to fit in with the newly updated, more streamlined bedroom style of the 1950s. Its sleek lines and minimalist approach made it fit right in with the burgeoning Modernist movement in Post-War Dutch design. In original condition with some age appropriate wear.
