Originally designed in 1970 and commercially released in 1972, Bellini combined two terms that accurately depict the form and purpose of the sofa to create the name Camaleonda. The first is derived from the Italian word "chameleonte," which means “chameleon,” and the second is derived from the word "onda," which means "wave."
